I'm selling a selected handful of photo prints to help cover my expenses travelling back to the Greek island of Lesvos. Just before Christmas I spent two weeks working with Refugee Rescue An NGO working to help spot refugees crossing the Aegean Sea between Turkey and Lesvos. Their mission is being active 24/7 to protect anyone fleeing war, violence and prosecution and to prevent more deaths at sea. I'm heading back to Lesvos at the end of March to independently film a documentary covering the refugee crisis. I'll be working mainly with Stand By Me Lesvos. They are a Non Profit Social Enterprise aiming to address the economic hardship and deprivation faced by the people of Lesvos and by the refugees who have arrived on the island due to war and conflict in their home countries.
The main purpose of this documentary is to tell first hand accounts from refugees who are detained in the camp Moria. As of now I'm self funding the short documentary, but in the hope of raising some money I wanted to give back in return. So I'm doing this by selling some prints.
I'm not a photographer by any means, I don't see myself as a photographer. I've started taking photos quite regularly on the side and I think this exercise is helping me become a better cinematographer. I've become a lot more conscious of light, composition and framing which helps towards my film-making. I'll be adding more photos shortly. The prints are A3. €20 without a frame. You can frame them yourself or I can frame them for you. Just message me if you would like a frame before ordering by filling out the form at the bottom of this page. You can also find my Go Fund Me page below if you would prefer to donate there. I would be eternally grateful for any money contributed. It would go a long way.
This project is something I feel passionate about working on and I'm going to put my heart and soul into it. Thanks guys! https://www.gofundme.com/moria-documentary
